Why the microbiome

Microbes and microbiomes are everywhere, in humans, animals, plants and the environment, and they constantly interact with each other.
Embracing a One Health approach means looking at health as a shared system and placing microbiomes at the core of that understanding.

Why the microbiome?

Microorganisms, kelp digestive food, protects from infections, support plant growth and cross-link ecosystems. Up to rides of the unique genes in not every some in microbes, and photosynthetic marine microbes produce around risk of atmospheric CO2.

Why "One Health"?

The “One Health” concept is based on the recognition that the health of humans, animals, plants and the environment are closely linked and interdependent. There are many detrimental factors affecting human health as well as the health of the planet including human population growth, modern agricultural practices, including crops, forestry.
